• Death specialist Lasith Malinga has taken the retirement in style in first odi. So, from this match onward he will be available for Srilanka in ODIS.
• Kusal Janith Parera had some injury issue in second inning but he is set to play this match.
• Except forced replacement of Malinga no other change is expected in Srlinakan team. I Udana is good choice of replacement for them as he will strength their batting as well as bowling department.
• D Karunaratne and Avishka Fernando  will open the inning while K Parera will bat at 1 down. Karunaratne is very technically strong batsman while   KJ Perera and Avishka are  very attacking batsman.All are looking in good form. Karunaratne scored 36 in last match.He scored 3 half centuries in world cup also

• T Perera  is  good hitter of ball. Recent form of T Perera is not good with bat.
• N Pradeep, Udana and Lahiru Kumara will lead the pace attack of the team while T Perera  will assist them.
• I Udana is a good bowler.He has good no. of variations to his kitty.

• Bangladesh missed their star all rounder  Shakib  very badly in previous match, if he would have been there then result could have been different.
• Shakib Al Hasan,M Mortaza and Liton Das are not available for selection.
• No change is expected in Bangladesh, they will like to stick with same team combination as it is the best team combination among the available 15.
• Tamim Iqbal and Soumya Sarkar will open the inning for them. Tamim is technically strong batsman and is one of the important batsman of team while Soumya is an attacking batsman.Both Tamim and  Sarkar has failed to play big inning in world cup match as well in first odi.
