- Newzealand team has outperformed Bangladesh in both ODIs and won both match by 8 wickets.
- Kane Williamson is rested for this match while C Munro is included in the squad.
- As they have already won the series so they can test their banch strength. Most probably T Southee will get chance to play in this match. T Boult may get rest in this game.
- C Munro and M Guptill will open the inning for Newzealand while H Nicholls will bat at 1 down H Nicholls will anchor the inning from one end while Guptill and Munro will play attacking brand of cricket from the other end. H Nicholls has scored half century in first match while Guptill has scored century in both the matches.

- Both Mohmmad Mithun and M Rahim are battling through injuries and both will have fitness test today. As per reports injury of M Rahim is not that much serious but same can not be said for Mithun.
- Team management have already called up Mominul Haque for the third ODI as a cover of M Mithun.
- Monimul is expected to play if M Mithun does not pass the fitness test.
- Their bowling need some pace and they can include Rubel Hossain in the team in place of M Saifuddin even when Saifuddin provides greater stability.
- They were outperformed by Newzealand in each department in both the matches.The main caus eof their concern is that their all important players except Mustafizur failed to deliver.
- Tamim Iqbal and Liton Das will open the inning for the team. Recent form of Liton is not that much good while Tamim is their one of the best batsman of the team. Tamim just played spectacular inning of 141 in final of BPL but he failed in both the matches.
- Saumya Sarkar is expected to bat next. He is an attacking batsman and is a hit or miss type player.He struggled in whole BPL.
- M Rahim and Mohmmad Mithun(risky) are expected to bat next. Both are consistent performer of the team.Rahim failed to play big inning in both the matches while Mithun scored half century in both the matches . Bangladesh batting will lot depend on M Rahim, he has to play a longer inning if Bangladesh want to give fight to Newzealand team.
- Mahmudullah and Sabbir Rahman will do late hitting duty. Both are good hitter of ball. Sabbir got starts in both the matches but he failed to convert it in big inning.
- Mehidy Hasan is another good batsman.He will lead the spin attack of the team.
- M Mortaza,Mustafizur Rahman and Saifuddin(high)/Rubel Hossain will lead the pace attack of the team. Mustafizur was the highest wicket taker of team in last year while Mortaza is also a good bowler.
