Delhi Capitals :
Delhi, which is the only team in the history of the BCCI’s T20 league that has not reached the finals of the tournament, would be looking to make history and win their maiden title. Under the leadership of a young Shreyas Iyer, Delhi would definitely look to turn the table this year and win their maiden title.
From the experience of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ajinkya Rahane to the dynamism of Rishabh Pant, Prithvi Shaw and Shimron Hetmyer, Delhi has all the strengths to win its maiden title but will it be able to make history this time? Here’s a detailed analysis of the Delhi side:
IPL 2019 Performance
The combination of Iyer, with Ponting as head coach, and Sourav Ganguly as mentor, served DC well. They just had just two victories in their first five matches. By the end of the league phase, they bagged 18 points and became the second team to qualify for playoffs. DC, who were at the bottom of the table in IPL 2018, finished third after losing to Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Qualifier 2.
New Additions:
Recently, DC signed fast bowlers Anrich Nortje and Daniel Sams as replacements for Chris Woakes and Jason Roy respectively. Alex Carey, Marcus Stoinis and Shimron Hetmyer seem good long-term buys.

Shreyas Iyer – 1212 runs
Prithvi Shaw – 598 runs
