• They are the current champions of the TNPL.They won first match by 9 wickets due to another masterclass of Arun Karthik however they lost their last match.
• They received 3 major setback as their captain D Rohit and T Sargunam will not play TNPL due to denial of BCCI while Varun Chakravarthy is not available due to injury.
• J Jabez Moses is expected to make way for Lokesh Raj.
  
• Their new captain Arun Kartik was highest scorer of tournament with  472 runs. Shijit Chandran scored 213 while J Kousik scored 167 runs  in last season.

• Sanjay  Yadav and P Francis Rokins will do late hitting duty. Both played good inning first match.Sanjay scored attacking 31 in first match and a match winning 95 in last match while P Francis Rokins scored attacking 25 in first match.
