• Newzealand team lost their last ODI series against India very badly  but they are the favourites of this series.
• C Munro is dropped from the team so he will not play.
• H Nicholls and M Guptil will open the inning for Newzealand, H Nicholls is a technical batsman who has the ability to play long inning while Guptil will want to utilize the power play as much as he can.Recent form of M Guptill is not that much good.
• Ever reliable K Williamson and Ross Taylor will bat at 1 and 2 down. Kane Williamson form is cause of worry for the Newzealand but he is such a batsman who can score big run on any match whereas Ross Taylor is the man in form for them, he is counterattacking the spin well.He played well in last series.
• T Latham will bat next, he will be key for Newzealand in middle order because after him no one is specialist batsman in the team so he will have to play key role for his team against spin. He is regarded as good player of spin.
• Jimmy Neesham, M Santner, Colin De Grandhome will do late hitting duty. All the three are good hitter and has the ability to accelerate with berserk rate. Neesham has good batting ability among the three.
• Tod Astle is expected to play as 2nd spinner as team coach want to test him,he can bat also.He has good record in domestic cricket.
• Tod Astle(slight risky) and M Santner will lead the spin attack of the team.Both are good bowler.
• Trent Boult and Matt Henry are expected to  lead the pace attack of the team while J Neesham and Colin De Grandhome will assist them. Boult was at his devastating best in previous series while Henry took 4 wicket haul in last match.

• Bangladesh team received a major setback just before the start of the series as their star allrounder Shakib Al Hasan is ruled out of the series due to injury.
• There is slight chance that they can prefer Saifuddin over Rubel  in absence of Shakib for strengthening their batting.
• Tamim Iqbal and Liton Das will open the inning for the team. Recent form of Liton is not that much good while Tamim is their one of the best batsman of the team. Tamim just played spectacular inning of 141 in final of BPL.
• Saumya Sarkar is expected to bat next. He is an attacking batsman and is a hit or miss type player.He struggled in whole BPL.
• Two of their best batsman M Rahim and Mahmudullah are  expected to bat next. Both are consistent performer of the team.Both scored half century in practice match.
• Mohmmad Mithun and Sabbir Rahman will do late hitting duty. Recent form of both are very good.
• Mehidy Hasan is another good batsman.He will lead the spin attack of the team.
• M Mortaza,Mustafizur Rahman and one of Rubel Hossain/Saifuddin will lead the pace attack of the team. Mustafizur was the highest wicket taker of team in last year while Mortaza is also a good bowler. Both Rubel and Saifuddin bowled well in BPL.
