Team News:
Sydney Sixers:
Squad: Josh Philippe (WK), Daniel Hughes, Steve Smith, James Vince, Moises Henriques (C), Jordan Silk, Tom Curran, Josh Hazlewood, Ben Dwarshuis, Jackson Bird, Nathan Lyon, Steven O’Keefe, Lloyd Pope
- They are currently sitting on the 3rd position of point table with 8 wins and 4 losses.
- They did one change in their squad. Josh Hazlewood comes in for Ben Manenti for the final league game.
- Josh Philippe(340), Daniel Hughes(245) James Vince(287) and Moises Henriques(242) are their main run scorers.
- Tom Curran(19), L Pope(10), Jackson Bird(10) and Ben Dwarshuis(14) are their main wicket-takers.
- D Hughes can bat after M Henriques also. He did not open in the last match.
- D Hughes(if He will not open then J Vince will open) and J Philippe will open the innings. J Phillippe is a very attacking batsman. He used to score runs very quickly while D Hughes is a technically strong batsman. Phillipe batted well in 4-5 games and is the highest scorer of the team while Hughes failed to play any big innings till now but he has consistently scored in the 30s.
- J Vince and Steve Smith will bat next. Both are technically strong batsmen and are consistent performers. Smith is in terrific form at this time in the international arena. J Vince also played 2 match-winning knocks of 51 and 41 in the last 2 games after struggling in the initial matches.
- Moises Henriques, Jordan Silk and Tom Curran will do late hitting duty. Henriques and Curran are very good hitter of the ball and have played many good knocks lower down the order while Silk is also good batsman but his batting position is not suiting him. Henriques has batted well in 3-4 games.
- Ben Dwarshuis and J Bird will lead the pace attack along with Tom Curran and Josh Hazlewood. Dwarshuis and Curran are taking wickets constantly while Bird and Hazlewood are also good bowlers who can swing the ball in initial overs. Curran & Dwarshuis will bowl in death while Bird and Hazlewood usually bowl in the middle overs.
- Nathan Lyon will lead the spin department while Steven O’Keefe will assist him if he plays. Lyon is a very good spinner but he is yet to prove himself in limited-overs.
Probable XI:
Josh Philippe(WK), Daniel Hughes, James Vince, Steve Smith, Moises Henriques (C), Jordan Silk, Tom Curran, Josh Hazlewood(high), Ben Dwarshuis, Jackson Bird, Nathan Lyon/Steven O’Keefe.
D Hughes can bat after M Henriques like the last match.

- James Vince
- Steve Smith
- Moises Henriques

Melbourne Renegades:
Squad: Aaron Finch (C), Beau Webster, Brayden Stepien (WK), Daniel Christian, Samit Patel, Mohammad Nabi, Will Sutherland, Cameron Boyce, Zak Evans, Jack Wildermuth, Kane Richardson, Tom Cooper, Nathan McSweeney
- They have performed very poorly this season with 10 losses out of 12 matches.
- Their Skipper Aaron Finch and main pacer Kane Richardson are back into the squad along with Brayden Stepien and Zak Evans while Shaun Marsh has been ruled out due to a hamstring injury along with Jake Fraser-McGurk, Marcus Harris and Andrew Fekete.
- S Marsh(449), B Webster(404) and S Harper(279) are their main runs scorers. Marsh and Harper are not in the squad right now.
- C Boyce(13) and Kane Richardson(10) are their main wicket-takers.
- Aaron Finch and Beau Webster are expected to open the innings in the absence of S Marsh. Both are technically strong batsman and good hitter of the ball. Finch generally plays in attacking manner while Webster scoring consistently in all the games.
- Brayden Stepien and M Nabi are expected to bat at no. 3 and 4 respectively. Stepien’s last 3 innings are 32, 128 and 57 but it’s hard to predict how he will perform on the big level. M Nabi is a very good player of this format and capable to score big any time. He scored attacking knock of 63 in the last game.
- Daniel Christian, Samit Patel and Will Sutherland will do late hitting duty. Daniel Christian is well known T20 batsman but he failed to play any big knock till now while Samit Patel and Will Sutherland are average batsmen.
- Jack Wildermuth and Kane Richardson will lead the pace attack along with Daniel Christian and Will Sutherland. Kane Richardson is their main wicket-taking bowler while Christian is also looking good since few games. Jack Wildermuth & Will Sutherland has performed averagely till now.
- Their leading wicket-taker Cameron Boyce will handle the spin department along with M Nabi and Samit Patel. All three are good spinners and are wicket-taking options. Boyce taking 1-2 wickets in every match while Nabi and S Patel are also performing good.
