• Srilanka team registered unexpected series victory against South Africa in test  however they lost first ODI very badly.
• They can try in form youngster Kamindu Mendis and Avishka Fernando in this match.
• L Sandakan can make way for Kamindu Mendis or K Rajitha.
• Niroshan Dickwella and any one of Upul Tharanga/Avishka Fernanado will open the inning. Dickwella is in good form and is an attacking batsman while Avishka Fernando was in terrific form in A tours and in practice game.Some recent scores of Avishka Fernando are 128, 55, 89, 139, 112 and 72 and he can bowl also so it will be hard to ignore him.
• Kusal Perera and Oshado Fernando are expected to bat at 1 and 2 down. Both are technically strong batsman and are very attacking batsman.Kusal Perera was in terrific form in test and has good record in ODIs while Oshado Fernando is looking like a good player.Perera scored 33 while Fernando scored 49 in last match.
• Kusal Mendis will bat next.He is rated highly but his record in ODI is not that much good.
• Dhananjay DeSilva will bat next, He is technically strong batsman , he scored 39 in last match.He can bowl some overs also.
• T Perera will do late hitting duty.He was in terrific form with bat in last series. He can get promoted any time of big hitting.
• Akila Dhananjay can bat also.He will lead the spin attack of the team along with Kamindu Mendis/L Sandakan. Akila is coming after a remodelled action so it will be interesting to see whether he will be effective or not,he bowled well in last match.
• Lasith Malinga and Vishwa Feranando will lead the pace attack while T Perera and K Rajitha(risky) will assist them . V Fernando has performed well in test while L Malinga is their premier pace bowler. Malinga took 5 wicket haul in practice game.
